A little distance from the village, and located next to the Pitões stream, is the Monastery of St.ª Maria das Júnias. Visiting this place requires some care and physical stamina, since access is only on foot, along a cobbled path of approximately 350 meters. Attention should also be paid to the risk of collapse of the monastery ruins.

Waterfall Viewpoint
From a landscape perspective, and given that the Peneda-Gerês National Park is known for its waterfalls, a visit to the Pitões stream waterfall viewpoint is a must. Access is via a 500-meter footpath.

Mourela Plateau
You should also visit the Mourela Plateau. Its imposing beauty will work wonders on the eyes of those who behold it. You might be lucky enough to spot wild horses, native birds and, who knows, even the Iberian wolf. When it snows, it's also an excellent place to play.
